Amber Bear Inn is a quaint country inn nestled in the hollow of Beaver Peak on a 400-acre wildlife sanctuary. The Inn boasts a full service bar & restaurant as well as a 24 -Hour Casino and ATM. It is bordered on the south by the Kootenai National Forest. The area is Montana's only rain forest and contains an impressive variety of trees, plants, wild berries and wildflowers. Birds and wildlife abound.
The inn is named for the area's cinnamon-colored bears that are frequently blonde in color when they first emerge from hibernation. A petting zoo of animals is a subtle reminder that the grounds were a ranching homestead for close to 100 years. Water from Brewer's Creek cascades down the mountainside and was one of the ingredients used in a large bootlegging operation in earlier decades.
